The only thing i know is that i Trust God and if it was his plan for me to go Blind at 24 so i would stop my Profligate life of Drink, Women, Vanity & Fighting so that i could have a personal relationship with him and enjoy life to the full, then i would not have it any other way!

When Jesus talked about the Blind man in John 9:3 he said "This(the blindness) happened so that the power of God can work in his Life" This helps me so much!

My Thoughts:

As i am registered Blind i read a lot of audiobooks and found myself getting distracted and missing little bits as its easy for your mind to wonder when listening rather than reading. So i tried this rule and it has really helped me in remembering!

My Testimony!

This Quote really helped me last Sunday when Phil at Church asked me to share a little of my Testimony to the congragation. I was terrified as i have never spoke in front of anyone before and i have not shared my story in public before, and as i havn't been at this church a year yet not many people knew me. After Praying lots i checked my twitter feed just before church and this quote was tweeted by Nicky Gumbel. 

I only just managed to get through my talk without breaking down and it was received well too. They now want me to get "My Testimony" written down so they can share it in the local magazine. I also hope to share it on here too with a separate Testimony page.

A Silly Idea

A silly idea is current that good people do not know what temptation means. This is an obvious lie. Only those who try to resist temptation know how strong it is... Navy experts tried using special technology to detect the plane's black box, without success. Holding a rope that kept them spaced three feet apart, searchers poked through every square foot of muck. After fourteen days they had found nothing. The physical conditions were unbearable. The sun beat down upon them and temperatures hovered in the nineties. Diesel fuel and caustic hydraulic fluid floated in the water, forcing searchers to wear several layers of protective rubber. Fourteen days of that had left them dehydrated, but they had to find the black box. Sergeant Felix Jimenez of Metro-Dade Police was one of the searchers. For fourteen days he'd prayed for the bereaved families and the safety of his fellow workers. But on the fifteenth day as he took a break, suddenly he realised he'd failed to pray for one important thing: that God would help them find the black box. So he asked God for direction, resumed the search, and when he stuck his pole into the water he hit something metallic. He pulled the object out of the muck. It was the black box. Jimenez writes in Guideposts: 'I thought of the many days we had spent searching for the recorder, how we must have tramped over it many times, and I wondered why its retrieval had taken so long. Amid the low rustle of sawgrass and the call of the wild heron, I seemed to hear the response: 'Why did it take you so long to ask?'

Torrey said, 'We are too busy to pray, and so we are too busy to have power. We have a great deal of activity, but we accomplish little.' The pastor of a mega-church acknowledged that for many years he knew more about prayer than he ever practiced. A Living House!

Conveyed

'Who hath...translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.' Colossians 1:13 The Bible says Jesus has 'delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of [God's] dear Son.' The New King James Bible says, 'He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son.' In one version it says we were 'conveyed,' in the other it says we were 'translated.' Both translations are correct; each just gives us a different slant on the truth. Let's look at each: 1) Conveyed. When a buyer purchases a house, the deed conveys ownership into the buyer's name. 'You were bought at a price; therefore glorify God...' (1Corinthians 6:20 NKJV). God owns you, therefore He has the right to send you anywhere and ask anything of you. 2) Translated. We translate books from one language to another. As a result the words sound different. Understand this: you live in the new kingdom, so stop speaking the language of the old one! When God's Word says you 'can' and you say you 'can't,' it's a signal to satan that he can influence you. Or worse, control you! The new birth calls for a new language. The Bible says that the power of life and death are in your tongue. So to thrive in God's kingdom and enjoy its benefits you must learn to say what God's Word says about each situation you face. This is not easy, and it's not learned overnight. But if you steep yourself in the Scriptures each day, you'll get to the place where your first response will be to quote God's Word. When that happens your life will change for the better.
